I first learned of this from planetizen's weekly news email in their link to Greusel's manifesto Legalize Neighborhoods Again!

I didn't put a link here then because I wasn't that impressed..., I liked kuro5hin.org better. But now, months later, I wanted to see what new manifestos they might have, and couldn't remember the web site. So here's the link. Their idea is similar to what I was thinking for the carfree magazine, at least in the pdf-centric approach. From their site:

ChangeThis is creating a new kind of media. A form of media that uses existing tools (like PDFs, blogs and the web) to challenge the way ideas are created and spread.

We're on a mission to spread important ideas and change minds.
