Green City Visions conference, Tuesday, May 31, 2005
Green City Visions will cover best ideas and proposed responses for all sizes of cities and towns based on ecological principles and scientific assessments of what needs to be done in the face of the peak oil / climate change / biodiversity collapse / health crisis in order to rebuild our human habitat in balance with living systems.
I'm very impressed with what ecocity builders has been doing. Berkeley in many ways seems like an armpit (car-infested) to me, but if Richard Register gets his vision implemented, he could radically change that.
Carfree city USA will be there.
So will Marla Hollander of the Active Living Leadership project, and SDSU adjunct professor (note their center is in city heights, not near SDSU).
